Good Green screen software

Primatte is good. Many people are happy with Serious Magic Ultra and I've heard good things about DVmatte Pro. The question is how much do you want to spend?

OK here's the deal. I just got Ultimate 2 on Friday of the DV Expo week from them there, loaded it Friday night, shot some green screen footage in my livingroom...not even at the studio... and worked it through Ultimate 2 for results you can't believe. It was so good, I used the piece as the intro for a client I'm wooing the very next day in Scotrtsdale, AZ and he signed the next day. Yes the rest of the footage and demo reel were great but that intro with Ultimate 2 I swear sold the deal. I used the scene where you're in a studio with lots of monitors behind you. I don'r rave about stuff too often but the word is awesome and seamless...OK, 2 words. I use Premiere and this thing is absolutely fantastic and so darned easy to use. It does virtually everything for you.n and I've used a nukmber of softwre programs in the past and been disappointed. This is the real deal. And no I'm not a spokesman...just a producer who landed a very large account for a cable network show and I swear Ultimatre 2 is partly responsible for that.

@jlames

I can not see Ultimatte 2 on the Ultimatte Corp website. - any links or info you can help with. I assume you are using a plug in and not a hardware solution?

COngrats on your deal.

I talked the VFX guys on new TV series, The Triangle. They said they use Primatte for After Effects for much of their compositing.

Acually I'm not talking about Ultimatte but rather the Ultra 2. My mistake. I guess I just got caught up in how this is the Ultimate green screen software. It's called Ultra 2 by Serious Magic. Find it here.

Sorry for the confusion.
