A while ago I bitched about a certain software company trying to charge a additional fee for a minor upgrade thats was vaguely described in their update portal.
Now to add some balance, in the past on this forum, I have praised companies for great customer service:

Now to add to this list - Edelkrone, I purchased a slider a few years ago for a specific project and it did not see much use as the client disappeared, but the slider had a slight issue. I dug it out of its box for a new project and contacted Edelkrone regarding my problem.

Edelkrone repaired the slider free of charge with no hassle, that is great customer service and it ensures repeat business.

I had the same kind of experience with Edelkrone. My slider had the "hump/bump" from the rubber belt. They were going to send me a fabric belt free of charge but when they discovered they couldn't get that for the version I had, they offered me a new slider for just the shipping charges. Not bad. At all.
