Do you guys know of any good, informative/how-to books on audio, different types of mics, mixing, synching, DATs, etc...?

Much appreciated.

Peace out,
B

Re: Good Books?

Ty Ford has an "audio boot camp" book that is around $25, I think. It's really small, and made to go with you in the field. It's a really good "audio for dummies shooting on mini dv" kinda book.

Check out an earlier post of mine (only because I don't want to redo all of the links...)

To sum up, these are all on my bookshelf and I think represent the best amount of information with the least amount of change out of your pocket.

This one is especially good as it uses visuals to describe mixing and sound placement.
