Good books?

Other than the bible. I have a $25 gift certificate for chapters/indigo and I'm looking for some books on lighting as well as general camerawork. Something that doesn't assume you have a large budget, but goes beyond the basic information that can be found online. Something similar to the hollywood camerawork dvd set that explains the indepth theory and application of camera movement, or a lighting guide that explains why abd how to light for different effects and moods, and can be used effectively with only a basic kit.

Audio books would be alright too, but I think that's much more dependant on your equipment.

I don't have any books at all actually. I checked it out, and in the description is says "You’ll learn about the basics of camera angles, continuity, cutting, close-ups and composition". I think I already have a strong grasp on the basics of those, so will it be advanced enough for me to get something out of it?

It's really a fundamentals book. At least check it out from the library if you get a chance. Most libraries have the book since it's so well known.

I'll try and think of some other books that are a bit more advanced.

If you don't have that, then I would highly recommend it. The best part of the book is on post-production techniques, including color correcting and mixing in visual effects, since Stu is a vfx guy.
