Well, I'll post this in here since the subtitle says this forum is for color-grading matters.
Does anyone know of a good book or DVD that deals with the basics of color-grading?
I'm talking about theory as well as application specific: Understanding color space, reading vector scopes and histograms, how to match color from shot to shot, etc.? The fundamentals of color grading/correction.
And ideally, one that can take that info and put it to practical use in the commonly used NLE's, like Avid, FCP, and Premiere.
I've gone through various tutorials and some books that deal with the color correction systems in some of these apps, but not something that deals with the basic theory behind color. Is there anything out there that covers all this?
Thanks,
Naveen
