Hi,

I'm starting to go deeper into video editing, and hopefully I'll soon like to work on cartoons. I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 for my normal editing. I know a little After Effects.

What Adobe application does Cartoon/Animation? Or is there any alternative professional Software you'd rather use for that? I heard of Ulead GIF animator?? I mean, making animations like The Lion King etc, in WINDOWS 7 (x64).

Thanks in advance!

Adobe Flash is used for a lot of 2D animation, especially TV shows. And a lot of big budget 2D films are done with 3D software like Maya or Lightwave.

I heard Adobe Flash Pro is really for web animations? Let me know. But I'll def check out the others you guys kindly suggested. Thanks in millions!

If your just starting out you may want to check out Anime Studio Debut. I helped animate this commercial in it, back when it was version 6. They have a pro version, but i was surprised at how powerful the Debut version was. I've animated in Flash before and it is a nightmare. Better to use a tool more geared towards character animation. You probably need to get on some animation forums, since this forum is more geared towards live action video.
