Golden Globes, any predictions?

Charli

cool little "title"
I predict Gervais will insult many a stars. I also predict Pitt won't win for "Moneyball." I predict "The Artist" may win best picture. I also predict Streep may get the globe because it's the "foreign" press. They just might be impressed she played a Brit.

Any predictions? Other than Ricky drinking two pints.

A bunch of pompous self important look-at-me's will attempt to act humble whenever the camera is on them.

A 14 month old kid in an outdated Adidas one-sie? LOL, probably not gonna get much mic time. If that's the case, don't bother with an acceptance speech.

Your goal, should you choose to accept it, is to just keep from crapping your pants on stage. LOL, I think I would have the same challenge, if I found out I was even nominated.

There are those who consider "celebrities" somehow "important"...

They play make-believe in front of a camera, and are ridiculously overpaid for it. That's it. Doesn't make them smarter, better or more important than anyone else, no matter what they think.

Make-believe. Ta-da. That's it....

Now as far as "There's no end to your whining about Hollywood is there"....

I'm "very" specific about my issues. Hollywood is dead, sold themselves out years ago.
When was the last time you ever heard the old phrase "the art of movie making"? It long ago became "the art of money making", serious difference.

LOL, it has always been exposure and luck. Talent only pads the hand. That goes back to the beginning of Hollywood and the industry. Any claims it has started recently is naive. The problem started the first day "talkie's" were screened (sorry, day after). It was inevitable. Everything since then can be attributed as "derivative", so any argument/discussion is moot and redundant/derivative.

Get used to it. (paraphrased) Any film of any success can trace attributes back to a classic play/fable/nursery rhyme/poem etc. prior to the time it was filmed.
