i'm going to NYC this tuesday/wednesday to visit a friend. While i'm up there i wanna check out a few stores. I know B&H has a giant store, but is there any other photography/video stores that would be worth checking out? I still dont own a DVX and i plan on checking it out while i'm at B&H and then hopefully ordering one sometime in the near future. Anyway thanks in advance.

If you keep going down 8th maybe 7 blocks there is a big still photography store. Though I forget what the name is.
Are you an Apple guy? The apple store in soho is a good walk. Washington square is great for the camera.
While you're down at the Apple store there is another video store... JB??? Ugh -- my brain is a mess today. BUT - go spend the time at BandH. You won't be sorry.

Funny story (well not so funny maybe)...
I was in New York a few months ago for a film/music festival. We stayed in a really nice hotel across from Madison Square Garden, we were there for 3 days. I don't know if it was the hectic schedule, the free after parties for the films or what but as our cab drove off on the final day I realized that I had not only been staying on the same block as B&H but our hotel was physically attached to it. I was furious (and humbled which is a good way of saying how dumb I felt).
Anyway, please go to B&H for me ;D
