Going to NAB - Questions you want me to ask?

OK - I will buy you many beers if you ask any of the following questions:

1. Panasonic - they'll probably have a display of their 3D pro setups. But currently to my knowledge they have no cameras that work well in a mirror rig configuration (eg like Canon C300, RED Epic/Scarlet, Arri Alexa M, Sony F3). It seems like a huge hole in their attempt to make a comprehensive 3D production / post / consumer pipeline. I'd love it if you could ask them why they didn't consider putting genlock in the AF100?

2. Sound Devices - last year at Cinegear I was asking about a 4:4:4 1080p60 model... or a stereo-syncable model - but that seems so 2011 now :) I think they should just skip it and work on a 60fps / 4K model for 2013... not really sure what to ask them since I think they'd have to wait for more cameras to be announced with real 4K output! Well there is the JVC...

3. AJA - That Riker thing looks cool... specs were up in the air last time I checked... 4K stereo 48fps?

4. Blackmagic - Why is the fan so $$@#ing loud on their Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D Thunderbolt box? Why do they build a Thunderbolt peripheral meant to be attached to a laptop running DaVinci Resolve on set... and then make it so loud that you can't use it on set?!? Also what's their plan for a hardware solution for 4K 48fps? Otherwise please give the Resolve people a hug for me. They rock.

5. JVC - Their 4K camcorder looks interesting... their 4K interchangeable lens camera even more so. My questions would be if we can turn off all of that stupid noise reduction that's making all of the sample clips I've seen so far look like mush. A liitle bit of grain at 4K is OK! And of course... genlock and reversable CMOS scan direction would be awesome for their 4K interchangeable lens version so it could fit on a stereo rig.

6. Avid - DNxHD supports > 1080p yet? More than 16 channels of audio yet? How about they give us some more sneak peaks of that web-based collaborative editing setup they showed in their investor slides? Does their iPad app export an EDL yet? Do they have any improvements planned for the MC series (MC Transport could use a larger display and buttons, for example)? How about a Digi 004? I have an 003 and I am going nuts waiting for a Thunderbolt-based 004 that works really well with both Pro Tools and Avid at the same time.

7. Adobe - Have they got After Effects making decent use of more than 1 core yet? Tile or scanline rendering please? I want all of my cores to work on the frame I'm working on. I don't want After Effects to spawn other copies of After Effects in the background that work on other frames and hog RAM. That's really inefficient and a horrible way to do things (I say this with love though, since I use the app every day). Are they going to do stereo support like Nuke? Are they going to allow After Effects to read and write timecode in EXR files? Are they going to make Premiere have a really awesome trim tool like Avid and win me over? Does their aquisition of Iridas give them a solution to help plug the gaping workflow holes? Is there a way for multiple users to work on the same project at once, like Avid?

8. Redrock - I hope that their focus controllers (both manual and the Canon lens control stuff) works with KesslerCrane motion control stuff. That would rock.

Um... those were the first things that came to mind! Thanks for asking!
