Thanks Barry, Ive already started my project in this mode how do I change @ this point .

What about rendering.. am i ok @ MPEG2 DVD NTSC

THANKS AGAIN...THIS SITE IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean you've started your project -- you've already shot it and now you're editing it? Is that what you mean? Or have you started shooting yet?

And yes, you can easily make MPEG-2 NTSC-compliant DVD files from either 24p or 60i footage.

I'm just now pulling it it into Vegas to edit....should I stop now? The only edits I have are a few text and transitions.

Thanks

If you shot in 24p, you should edit on a 24p timeline using the "NTSC DV 24P" preset. That will make your life much easier, especially when it comes time to render out to DVD.

Barry thanks for the info this is great since I wasnt too far along I just reopened a new document and started from scratch...which in the end is a timesaver Im sure!!

For future reference, as far as I know, you CAN change your project settings in the middle of your edit ... you'll just want to recheck your work for timing, etc. to ensure it's still in sync the way you want it.
