I made a small wager that this would be the year the coveted Nathan's belt returns to the US. This is like the Superbowl of competetive eating. My money is riding on Joey Chestnut (apparently this is his real name). My friend has the five time reigning champ and world record holder Kobayashi. I'm betting on the heavy, heavy underdog. I should have been given odds!
Anyways, if anyone else is going to be down there let me know. If you are reading this and respond after I leave, I'll have my DVX, a pelican case and a bogen tripod in a nylon case. And I'll be saying that I shouldn't have had that last hot dog.
