Hey guys,
I've been reading these boards for about two weeks now and finally decided to register.
I am a long time owner of the Canon ZR60 (it's a good beginners cam,) but I've got too many hours logged on that thing, and it is starting to give out on me. Fortunately, my purse strings have loosened, so I might be purchasing a 3CCD cam soon. Before I read these boards I was set on buying an XL2, but the articles posted (Jarred's for the most part) have swayed me to the panny. I'm actually going to wait for the HVX because it sounds like a great cam.
It took me a long time to decide because of Canon's interchangeable lense system. Upon further investigation, it seems that the micro35/mini35/g35 have actually equipped the newer cameras with an interchangeable system as well. I own several Canon SLR lenses which I use on a 35mm Canon AE1. My question is, can these lenses be utilized with the micro35/mini35/g35 interchangeable apparatuses? (I have a feeling that there will be an HVX version of similar devices so I am not worried about that aspect.)
I'm going to have a ton of other questions before anything is cast in stone, so I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.
