I am going to Africa next year to film wildlife with the Sony EX-1 can someone help and tell me what is the best mic for this type of sound recording and for this camera?
long shot gun and stereo mic or another figure of 8 for stereo reording , of course is better to take some good preamp or stand allone recorder with good ones to pull the low levels athmosphers
of course you can take stereo shotgun as well- sanken cs-5 is wonderfull for that kind of job, neumann 191 if you very reach
