Going from back from 5.1.2 to 5.0.4; how to convert?

Hi,
I'm currently borrowing a Mac book pro to do some editing of HVX footage on. I started the project in 5.0.4, but now need to upconvert to 5.1.2 (sorry if my jargon is off). However, I won't be able to finish the project on this machine: I might get access to a G5 which has 5.0.4 on it, however. I know this will be an issue...is there any way to 'downconvert' my project back to a 5.0.4 version? Please don't tell me it can only go up!:crybaby:
