While surfing around, I came across an old G3 iMac for $40, and I'm seriously considering buying it. It's the pretty much the same machine I learned graphics on, so it's more out of sentimentality than practicality. Anyways, it is currently running OSX, and sluggishly according to the owner. Is there a way to get older software to run on it? Where can I get an OS that it will run, and cheaply? Same with FCP?

I don't know if any software is included, but I would assume some is. Probably about the same prices too.

Thanks for that link. I didn't know that they were giving these things away. I guess it can become a cheap way to amuse the kids, eh? I can get OS8 for $30, which is also the one I started on.
