Go35Pro Interior Test

This is a big one -- 112mb. I just threw this together sans sound and will follow it up when I have the time with the "official" cut.

This is an interior test Timur Civan and I did a few weeks ago. DVX-100a, Go35Pro (yes, that is a Go35Pro unit seen toward the end), Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens at f/2.0. Varrying light sources.

Essentially, you can get a grainless shot at up to f/2.0 with very little light. After f/2.0, you start to need a lot of light -- either sunny exteriors or serious film style lighting.

The link.

That looks really great for a static adapter and it looks like you've got really nice edge to edge sharpness. I'd love to see a shot of a calibration chart with this...

That looked awesome. The decision between the Go35Pro, SgPro and M2 is getting more difficult. And yes I would also like to see a shot of a calibration chart because it really looks much sharper from the edges than the other adapters.

i own an SGpro and a Go35. They are about NEck and neck. The new Sgpro, has an improved Achromat that solves its edgesharpness problems. it actually based on tests ive seen outperforms the M2.

The go 35 has a Nearly flawless, Achromatic Diopeter. edge to edge is Brilliant. i jsut shot a test chart with the go35, it read 540 lines of res. DVX naked, reads 550. thats a 10 line loss. thats very good.

The reason i bought 2 adapters is this. The Go35 needs lots of light. because the apeture on the 35mm lenses must stay open at full wide. anyhting smaller than F2.8 and youre going to get grain unless its Out doors. However, the go35 is VERY small, light and easy to handle. perfect for handled work.

The SGpro, is spinning GG so it can use ANY apeture in ANY light condiiton. IT too is VERY sharp, however it is VERY big, Heavy, and supported by rails, therefore, not ideal for handled work. infact nearly impossible wihtout mounting it first on a spider brace.

These are my Two favorite adapters, and they both serve a specific niche in my tool kit. The SGpro for Tripod work, and the Go35 for handheld.

TimurCivan, you're the man! You managed to narrow the decision to between the go35pro and sgpro. Thanks.
