Go35Pro Footage

hey jim, this week lets arrange another shoot. This way we can get all the "bugs" worked out. Gimme a call.

Will the Go35SD be available at the same time and can you pre-order that one now too? I'm too damn broke to afford anything more than that :D

Go35SD should be ready to go as soon as the tubing, mounts and macros arrive. Ergh, waiting is a pain.

I just received the glass for the SD and Pro diffusers today, just... waiting... on other parts.

Shooting with the Pro and DVX tomorrow :D

I'll also have a few other surprises for then, as well...

its really nice footage actually, on your site.

is there i picture of your go35?

on the demo of the site, which version of your adapter is being shown?

No pic yet, technically. I have a shot of the prototype, but it's a bit off from what the final version will look like.

Go35SD is the Demo link.

so whats the price? if i saw the size i would be very interested. im looking at the ifocus too because of its compact size, and good price. havent seen footage from it yet tho. ive seen footage from yours and it looks great. but iwant to see how long it is and how bulky it would be with rails. cause the ifocus seems like mys teadicam could take it.

Will the final SD version of the Go35 have a crisper image (& or better) than the original footage on the demo footage?

i can tell you right now yes. keep in mind, on the site the footage has compression.

The price for the SD is $209. It will be a bit longer than the iFocus, but in no other way larger or "more bulky". It's made from anodized aluminum and will consequently weigh very little. Here is what the protoype looks like.

OK guys, I just got back from a test shoot with the DVX :) Check it out:

Top two images are the Nikon f/2.8 80-200 zoom lens. Bottom is the good ol' 50mm 1.4 I've been using for all my tests. The handsome fella at the controls is Timur. We went to an abandoned airfield and shot some random stuff. It looks damn amazing -- most of it shot at f/2.8 to f/5.6 on the SLR lenses, so you will see stopped down footage on the DVX coming real soon. Some shots were even gotten at f/16!

Yes, there will be color fringing and minor vignetting from the macro used -- it is a "cheap" +10. But I think aside from this you will be impressed by the footage.

Meanwhile, h.264 encodes of some of the Go35Pro f/5.6-f/11 50mm shooting I did at Union Square are here as well, complete with a glimpse of the winning and final logo submission courtesy of Min Lee:

I got bad news from my parts supplier that will mean another delay, so I'm going to go ahead and make 3-5 beta units cobbled together from esoteric eBay tubing, coupler and mount supplies in the meantime. I'm getting so frustrated by the wait, as I imagine some of you are, and I really want to get some of these out into the hands of people with DVX's working on real projects.

To that end -- some of you have found +10 achromats on eBay. Keep your eyes peeled for me, please -- and email me at info at go-35 dot com if you come across any 58mm +10 achromats. This is really the only missing piece of the puzzle to make the Go35Pro finalised, and with them I can crank out a series of beta units while waiting on the mass produced custom parts.

yay my DVX is FAMUS!!!!

Yea today was fun.

Jesus my hairline is retreating faster than the french in DUbyaDubya two......
