Just got mine in the mail today and will post footage as soon as I get a chance. Looks good so far, professionally packaged. I will be using a DVX100B w/ a Nikkor-S 50mm/f1.4 lens and am looking to pick up a Nikkor-O 35mm/f2 later this weekend for additional footage.
Yay, let's see some new footy! I want to see what other people can do with this thing. I don't know if Jim has started selling these "unofficially" because he stated that the adapter has gone out of beta.
New site's not up yet. Sorry I'm late with the update but I am waiting to confirm an element in the material supply chain before making any commitments. Should know this week and hopefully be able to open up business for pre-orders.
$650 + $30 shipping/handling/PayPal surcharge for domestic US shipments. International shipment costs vary -- I'm shipping a unit to Korea soon and it's running almost $100 for the shipping costs!
Price includes:
Go35Pro
Pelican 1150 case
Two magnets for the "flip trick"
Appropriate step ring for your cam
Nikon F mount (Canon FD will be an option in the future)
Once I get this one part in quantity, I will then be able to take pre-orders in good faith.
Have not tested that yet. Really, I'm making these things as fast as I can right now and shipping each of them off, so I haven't had the chance to keep one aside to test further.
But will i be able to use my follow focus in conjunction with the adapter? I haven't see to many photos of DIY 35mm adapters in operation so i have to claim ignorance.
Hope you get that parts issue squared away because i am anxious to preorder. I'd like to use this adapter on a shoot next month if thats at all feasible.
On another note: What happened to the footage the author of this thread was supposed to post?
Hmm, follow focus? I would imagine so, but it would require some changes to the setup, unless you currently have it set up to work with SLR lenses. The short answer is I'm not certain -- there's issues with SLR lenses having some grip or hang in their rotation, as well as having a narrower barrel than a standard follow-focus setup is optimized for. Someone with SLR/FF experiences could better answer your query.
Parts are squared away, and pre-orders are open. I'm taking five at a time, in order to keep turn-around short -- 5-7 days from payment -- and quality high.
Here's the breakdown:
Go35SD
Just over 3" long
Black anodized lightweight aluminum construction
Includes step rings fitted to your cam, Nikon F mount, two magnets for the "flip trick," metal end cap
Optics: macro lens, hand ground glass
Quality comments: full 35mm optical area; 1.5 stops light loss; minimal grain; very slight chromatic aberration at the frame's edges.
$269.00
Go35Pro
Just over 3" long
Black anodized lightweight aluminum construction
Includes step rings fitted to your cam, Nikon F mount, two magnets for the "flip trick", Pelican 1150 case
Optics: achromatic doublet lens, custom "near grainless" diffuse screen
Quality comments: full 35mm optical area; properly exposed scenes show virtually no grain; no chromatic aberration or barrel distortion; 1.5-2 stops light loss; expect performance under well lit conditions to be on par or superior to the leading oscillating/moving adapters
$650.00
In either case, there is a flat shipping surcharge for domestic packages of $30 -- this includes shipping, handling and PayPal fees. International shipping fees varry.
You can either reserve an adapter by placing a 50% deposit, and then pay the rest of the cost once the build is completed, or for expedited service, 100% of the cost up front.
Pricing comments:
I know the SD was originally supposed to be $209.00, and I have in fact sold a handful at that price already. Unfortunately, links in my supply chain have made it so that I had to move from one supplier to another and in so doing some parts have shot up in cost dramatically. When I stated the earlier price, I had figured this might happen and took into account a 15-20% materials cost increase, but honestly some parts have gone up in cost on the order of several magnitudes -- as an example, one piece went from $7.00 each, to $42.00 each. Additional minor parts doubled in price. It makes me sick to go back on my word like that, but I simply couldn't make these for anything less than $269.00 and hope to stay in business long.
For the same reason, the Pro is about $50 more than originally expected. Again, on the one hand I'm a bit frustrated with that (my goal is to make these things accessible to shoestring indies), but on the other hand, if you compare the quality of the Pro as being on par with some of the leading oscillating/spinning adapters, you're in some cases saving a ton of money -- enough to buy rails, a 50mm f/1.4 lens, and still come out ahead.
Pics are coming -- I can't keep one of these around long enough to take pics, I'm happy to say. Been shipping out units as fast as I can make them.

About the light loss numbers. Are these with lens of just the GG? I haven't really tried measuring it but I have felt the light loss of Pro glass is around 1 stop.
I would like to see how the adapter does indoors under a controlled lighting situation. But if no one has time for something like that I'll try to conduct my own tests in the coming weeks.
