Go Verbinski! Check it...

I've never been a fan of Verbinski...His movies always feel like the work of a second unit director to me, polished, but without much emotion or distinct point of view.

The man has scope and vision in spades. I like him. I've loved both Pirates films and am interested to see what Verbinski does after At World's End.

Verbinki is one of my favorite filmmakers. The Ring was a great scary movie with enough mood for a thousand studio horror films. Having said that, I thought Pirates was his weakest film. Then Pirates 2 came around and was fun (if a little long). This (and to a lesser degree, Transformers) is the only studio film I'm looking forward to this summer.

Oh, in his interviews for Weather Man, he said he literally had no idea what he was shooting on Pirates 3 until he showed up in the morning. This "writing the script as they go along" stuff really baffles me. I guess the rule is "script is king... but only if it's not a sequel". Cause when you think about it, why work hard on a sequel script when you know they're going to show up anyway? We'll see if they somehow pulled it together. But I say be prepared for one messy film.

I can't believe theres not more talk about the Pirates 3 trailer being out!

I'm psyched!

edit: THIS SHALL BE... the best of the three films. Look at the trailer. One word: EPIC.

Pirates is like the Moped analogy to most people on this site. Sure it's fun, but you don't want your friends to know you think so. And i gaurantee you those same people have watched, and will watch them all, and if they are caught they will gripe about how much they didn't like it. It's the same with M. Shyamalan movies. I hate to generalize cause there are yet many who don't.... But there is a big bandwagon.

I just watched Pirates 2 on Sunday. I will maintain, until the third film, that Pirates 2 is better than Pirates 1.

Huh.... Odd question "what is friends"? Are you from a different country? No wait it says connecticut... A different planet maybe whare friends don't exist. Not sure why you decided to tear apart my statement as it obviously doesn't pertain to you. Huh,.... Go figure.
