Glowing object composite help...

I'm trying to get ideas on how to make an object on screen glow, it needs to have a piont source light look to it.

anyone with any kind of tips or tricks for this would be great!

You can use the standard Glow filter, or you can make a dulicate of the object, blur it with guassian and set it to Screen mode. When I do Glow in Photoshop or AE, i usually use this method or variations of it:
