Glowing effect of actor

SFX I'm trying to create a glowing effect of actor on screen. I own a HVX and shooting a low-budget indie film. I want to create that blue glow-like effect to set the actor apart from the other regular effect actor.

I thought about spray misting the actor with fluorescent paint and fim under a black light. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

depending on how dramatic its supposed to be. You should be able to do allot with carefully placed backlights.

I don't think they'll appreciate that! :beer:

But yes, use a backlight and perhaps even a promist filter. Or black frost.

It sounds like you're trying to create a Dr. Manhattan effect. If so, you could roto the actor in After Effects, and use that matte to create the glow effect with solids and blurs.
