For the past few weeks I have been building my steadicam rig. I just wanted to know if anyone has been following the latest news about the Glidecame Smooth Shooter? Just by looking at the pictures is seems light weight. The rig goes for about $1,400 and some change but I don't think it comes with the sled. The over all camera weight seems to be about 12 lbs, and that doesn't take in account for a monitor. The vest seems cool but it's front mounted. I plan to make my vest back mounted, suppose to be better for your back. Anywany just wanted to hear some thoughs about this rig. I would hate to put so much effort in my rig just to find out I could have saved myself time and money making my own.
