Glidecam Issue

Hey all.

Recently purchased a Glidecam HD 2000, secondhand. I assembled it and went to screw in the camera to the mounting plate and the camera is simply not secured. it pivots and swings around on the plate as opposed to being firmly screwed into place. I'm wondering if the washers, 1/4th size, is simply a wrong size? I know it's something stupidly simply I am just too inexperienced to grasp and have overlooked. At leas,t I am hoping so. What could I be doing incorrect?

Thanks!

I've had issues with baseplates/QR plates before, not on my Glidecam though. What I did was grab a few (various sized) short 1/4x20 bolts from a local hardware store (cost like a dollar total) to see which one was short enough to go through the plate and connect to the camera. Other solutions would be to use a washer on the underside of the plate, or find something you can use as a shim and wedge in there between camera and plate if you need a temporary fix (like some folder paper/cardboard). Hope that at least provides a starting point :)
