Glidecam HD4000

[shortnstout]

Has anyone used the Glidecam HD4000. It is supposed to be better than the 4000, and is backordered at B&H, but I can't find real info on it on the Glidecam website. Was wondering if anybody has compared it with the 4000. And better yet, if somebody could compare it with the Merlin too.
thanks,
sns

"This system is upgraded from the 4000 Pro and offers a quick release, fine adjustments and an improved gimbal and balance system."

Salesperson at Glidecam says it's not yet available, should be selling soon (this month, next month...perhaps January....but soon).

From what I can tell, there are a few cosmetic differences (different balancing plates, all-black color) but the rest of the specs aren't really out in the open yet. It costs more than a standard 4000 Pro unit, but whether the price is justified or not is unclear.

I would expect it to operate very similarly to the 4000 Pro, maybe a few little features that might improve ease of use.
