Glidecam HD 2000 vs Blackbird Stabilizer

I've seen a lot of people compare the Merlin & Glidecam, but what about the Blackbird? How does it hold up to the Glidecam 2000?

I'd be interested in hearing thoughts on the Blackbird too. I have a DEFINITE interest in getting something like a Glidecam in the near future.

I saw a demo, the work really well. They work better for smaller cameras, so if you're shooting DSLRs it would be great. they also have some bells and whistles that are pretty neat too, like a kickstand so you can put it down when you're not using it (it's extra). They will work well with something the size of a HVX200.

As far as "how steady will my shot be" that really depends on honing your stabilizer skills, Any stabilizer you get, you'll need to practice, practice, practice.

I fly my camera on a glidecam2000. the physics are relativly the same between the two. (again it's how good you are flying a rig, not necessarily the rig itself)

I just got the blackbird, but never using a glidecam, can't really compare. The reason I bought it over the glidecam is that I had read that it is easier to fly, so being a beginner I went for it. Isn't the blackbird similar to the merlin? So the pro's and cons would be the same? What are the basic pro's/con's to glidecam vs.merlin.

From what I've read, blackbird is working on a consumer gyroscope, so that would be an interesting feature down the road. And from what I've read it works with the vests if you ever want to invest that kind of money down the road.
