Glidecam adapter for Merlin Arm & Vest?

I'm about to purchase the Merlin vest & arm to use with my glidecam 2000. I've been trying to find a straight adapter post for the glidecam handle to fit on the merlin vest & arm, but have had no luck finding anything other than a home-depot made solution with some bolts and washers from dvinfo.net .. Has anyone had success using the Merlin vest & arm with other stabilizers like the glidecam?

Having lost all hope with the Merlin, I too will buy a Glidecam 4000 HD and use it with my current arm and vest which in contrary are beyond perfection. I believe that the curved post wouldn't be a problem, otherwise the 1/4 " bolt solution with washers it's not a bad idea at all.
