hey guys
im directing a pilot which features high end yoga demonstrations, etc...and im trying to get a really smooth, nice look that creates a sense of serenity. im shooting hvx200 and may add on the lettuce with a wider prime but regardless i'll want to use something to get smooth movement around the yoga.
i just started looking at the glidecam demonstrations and the site and it looks great. i love what i see. it seems easier to use and less burdensome than the typical steadicam rig.
what are your thoughts?
thanks so much for the help

As a long time Steadicam op and someone with many years in production in general, I'd say that you're really in need of a dolly. Steadicam/Glidecam can do some really smooth flowing shots but for what you have in mind here's where you should opt for a dolly on tracks. Maybe a doorway dolly on pneumatic wheels.

I'll second the dolly
it will take you a while to get used to the glidecam, or any steadycam for that matter if you aren't already, and even then your shots may not be as smooth and steady as dolly's
