Glidecam 2000 Pro Difficulties

I just got my glidecam2000 pro in the mail the other day, and i cannot get the thing balanced for the life of me.

If anyone out there uses a glidecam2000 pro with their dvx100b, PLEASE help a brotha out!!!

also if anyone has any pictures of the balanced glidecam that could help me too...thanks a lot!
 
I find it helps if you hang it on a c-stand while you're trying to balance it. It gives you both hands to work. Also remember that very small adjustments are usually required.
 
Yeah, I'm not sure as to the problem you're having-- you pretty much just pick the thing up as level and as lightly as you can-- and get it to NOT tilt. Refine one axis at a time, keep the screws gently tightened until you're done...

Also, do the weights first-- get it so it takes a full (one second, right?) for the "pendulum drop" from 90 degrees tilted to the middle position as it drops.

Post some of what your problem is if you still can't get it...
 
go to youtube and search glidecam. there is a post on there how to balance a dvx100 and a glidecam 2000 pro. Should be exactly what your looking for.
