Not sure if this is place for this.

The Sony site has gone to the wackos. Guys who love fighting just for the sake of fighting.

I'm glad this site maintains its balance. I don't always agree with everything but over all it has useful information that is passed on.

Yes, some times we guess, some times we start rumors, but over all I think its for the love of wanting to increase in our knowledge of our craft that makes us come here.

So, thank you to the guys or gals who keep it under control.

RIP :'( A great loss. On the Special features for the 'fear and loathing' dvd, they were talking about some 20 year documentary on him. Cant wait to see that.

Okay, this has got to be a record for thread-hijacking, right? It was totally off-topic within two posts! :)

But yes, I do appreciate that even when we have disagreements here, we seem to be able to come to a reasonable "agree to disagree" stance.

Which Sony forum are you referring to? Sony's Vegas forum has had some trouble recently, but seems to be settling down...

No, I have FCPHD so no need to look at the Vegas site, but who knows maybe something  can overlap and in the end help me.

No I was talking about the site about the Sony HDV cameras.  Kerr Cook I think is his name who started it. But the Europe or Eurpropa Video Werenke, or whatever guy who showed up here is all over that board.

He may also be HD Productions, Jimmy, the dude who's been bad mouthing you as well as any other thing that isn't Sony.

Even if I was interested in the Sony the guys are turning me off. But I'm more interested in the Panny so that would throw these guys into a major panic attack if they read that.

Yes this site is awesome. Posts like yours gary are why I dont even try to go anywhere else for all my DV needs. And yes, there is a good equilibrium that is maintained here...

Sorry for hijacking? No, Terry, you got that wrong -- Hijacking is basically a *must* around here, it's one of the things that gives this site such character. I was just really impressed that we were able to get a thread so thoroughly off-topic in just a couple of posts -- I thought that was a record! ;)

And, hey, we always manage to bring it back around too... we're mostly on track.

I'm clearly not biased at all when I say that it should, without question, be given to the Minnesota Wild. ;)

would you call me a whacko if I posted grabs of halloween when I nearly destroyed my dvx100a, filming a burning jackolantern that had too many explosives in it which shot up in the air and created a circle of fire somewheres in the ball park between 50 and 60 feet in diameter?

(the $20 pumpkin had about 10 gallons of gas in it and dynamite)
