Hey guys, I've been sinning.
I've been using my DVX to capture ever since I got it. I know this is wrong, but I had to wait until I could get my GL1 cleaned before I could switch it from the world's cheapest DV tapes (Maxell) to the PQs I curently use.
Fine. I cleaned my Canon GL1 set everything up, and FCP is seeing the camera just fine as used to, and I can even preview the footage in the box...but when I try to capture now, it just waits and waits and waits for the timecode. I can't even batch capture. I think it's because...no timecode! At all...nothing happens when I try to set an in-point, and all the clocks read oo

I'll try using my GL2, but I'd rather not capture on that either. I can't imagine that there's an incompatability issue, because I've read of others on this forum using rinky dink one-guns to capture...
Wrap-up: When I try to capture DVX tapes with my GL1, FCP can't recognize the timecode. Help.
