I have a 4x4 Chrosziel DV sunshade with rod supports that I picked up on e-bay in perfect condition (never used!). It rocks. I tried an old crappy Petroff before that one and it just isn't the same. That's not to say that I haven't seen nice Petroffs, and that's also not to say that Cavision is bad. I've never used a Cavision. But there is nothing like a Chrosziel. I'll never go back. NEVER. If you want a matte box that is more than just slick eye candy get a Chrosziel and you won't be sorry. If you can't afford one, then just wait and save your pennies for a real tool. Trust me, you can spend a heck of a lot of money buying cheap stuff that you'll be throwing away in a year! Just my two cents.
