Giottos and manfrotto base plates compability

Hi everybody.

i have a question about compatibility of manfrotto base plate with other plates such a giottos. I was sure that they are compatible but yesterday i noticed they are not. So the question is, are all manfrotto plates has the same dimensions? Do you know any third party plates that are compatible with manfrotto?
 
Satchler's FSB "Sideload" plates are interchangable with Manfrotto's 501 & 501PL plates. So are Benro's QR6 Slide-In Quick Release Plates.
