Hi, im entering a film of mine into a film festival in tampa, florida. I would like to get the rights to a few pre-recorded songs, how would i go about askiung them for written allotment of my use of thier songs? thanks alot everyone and anyone.

If the artist in independant, contact them directly.
If they are signed to a record label, then contact the label.

Be aware that labels will almost always charge for the use of music, usually depending on how much of the music you use, and what your distribution is.
