getting the runaway look

While I don't think it was a very good short, I loved the look of Kanye West's "Runaway" and was wondering if anyone had any insight on how they go it, specifically, the colors. Heres a link to the video if you havnt seen it:

I especially love the greens in the ballet scene.

I just saw this today. Frankly I can't stand a minute of anything Kanye does. I just don't like it. I think hip hop died in 95 though. I just can't listen to any of it after dre started making beats, and after tupac left interscope.

Still.. muted, the picture was stunning. I doubt I can guess the exact specifics, but for one, I think the shadows were TOO aggressively colored (the purple with the ballerinas gives away the shadow manipulation for me, I like black shadows) the deer was phenomenal. They had to have shot that thing on either film or something incredibly sharp (I could guess larger than HD if the final master was HD, cause that image looked more like a RAW still of a 5DII scaled down than a screengrab of the footy). Not saying or suggesting this was shot on a dslr, but my point is that sharpness and fidelity like that (the textures behind the ballerinas) I've only seen on ultra high res images scaled down or film, scanned high, and scaled down.

But yeah I couldn't stand it outside the picture.
