Hey everyone,

First time posting on here. This site has been great so far. I am trying to achieve a super soft look, which is popular with music videos and alot of commercials. Is is better just to mess around with MB or are there in-camera adjustments I can make. Also is the chromo level setting in the scene file the best way to saturate the reds? thanks.

I wouldn't bother using MB (Magic Bullet I assume). Your editing software should be able to do it.
You can apply a guassian blur but you might like it better by layering the clip on top of itself. Apply the blur and then do a 'screen' (experiment with other composite settings) (thsi will cause the hilights to glow) or set opacity of top layer to 25-75% and see what that give you. Typically more interesting than softening the entire image all the same.

ok here is one clip that i just worked on....simply used what scott mentioned about layering the same clip....see what everyone thinks
