Getting started with Premiere?

Hey,

I've just acquired the latest version of Adobe Premiere.
I am totally new to it and Iwas wondering if theres any good starting tutorials?

I added a clip and set its in and out points, but the monitor didnt reflect that. I clicked to trim and my monitor went blank, no matter where I move the timeline slider.

Anything for a noob out there?

You should have got a DVD with your package that contains some Total Training Lessons - not all but enough to get you started.

The Total Training DVD s are expensive but might be worth it for you if you are real new to the app.

Plenty of good books around also. Check out Amazon.com.

Great program and worth putting the time in up front to learn it well.

Take time to learn editing principles and theory also.

Total training is pretty good as noted.

VTC is less expensive then Total - There are a bunch of sample vids you can watch online to get a feel of the course.
