I'm getting ready for doing an edit list (edl) and I have sequences where the main v1 track has the opacity way down etc and then the b-roll shots on v2 tracks and higher when superimposing. Should I edit my v2 tracks down onto the v1 track to make for a cleaner edl?
I'd take your project, as is, and create an EDL right now, locked cut or not. Take that EDL to where ever/who ever needs it and see if it works for them. If they can perform their duties then you're fine. If not, then start trouble shooting where they are running into problems.
