Getting it straight...

Hi everyone, long time reader - first time posting... very excited about the new 35mm adapters coming out soon, just a couple of questions...

Is DOF controlled more by the 35mm lens aperture/focal length OR is it controlled more by the DVX aperture/focal length? Or a little of both maybe?

Does the ground glass rotate or vibrate? Example: rotate like a mirror shutter or vibrate like a Mexican jumping bean?

Thanks from Richmond!

When using an adapter, the DOF is controlled by the 35mm lens.

On some of the adapters the ground glass rotates, on others it vibrates. The older mini35 used a rotating design, the newer one uses an oscillating system, I believe the M2 uses rotating (I think?) and the new CineMek and the MPIC use vibrating. I think the Letus uses vibrating.
