Thanks for the info, guys. I get the Brevis this Thursday. I am very impressed with the quick turnaround. Dennis Wood has been very helpful. I ordered the Brevis just a few days ago!
B&H is closed for a few days so I won't get the new 50 mm Nikon Lens that I ordered until next week. To get going with the Brevis this weekend, I bought a used vivitar 28mm 2 (F stop) lens which was made for Nikon Cameras. I hope this lens will work with the Brevis and I hope that Vivitar has good enough glass. Any ideas? I bought it for $35 at a camera shop.
I bought the Brevis because I am most impressed with the HVX200 images shot with the Brevis. 24P + limited depth of field really makes beautiful film like images. That's what I am looking for. My only concern is sharpness/resolution loss. If anyone has any tips for getting the sharpest image with the Brevis, please let me know. For example, I would like to know:
HVX200 SETTINGS:
Zoom
Filter (ND)
Focus
F Stop
Chroma
Gamma
Pedestal
35 MM LENS SETTINGS:
Zoom
Filter (ND - I bought a screw on ND 4)
F Stop
Thanks for all of your help. I will post test footage and impressions when I figure out how to use the Brevis properly.
