Getting a buzz when recording to Zoom H4n

I use a H4n at work and I bought myself two small condenser mics to test out. I went into my car to merely test the sound of the engine and its interior. I gt this weird buzzing sound when the two mics are plugged in. It's not the power from the car interfering because it kept up when the car was turned off too. It's not phasing either. I am hoping its not the mics. The buzzing climbs in pitch then goes back down over and over (not in this clip but if you let it continue).

What do you think?

Sounds like artifacts from the P48 voltage multiplier. I had exactly the same problem yesterday with my M-Audio FastTrack Ultra 8R. If you have a dynamic mic or two you may be able to do a differential diagnosis by switching the phantom power on and off and see how it affects the sound.
