Getting 2nd monitor to work with Desktop preview?

Hi all,
New to FCP5 - question: How do I get FCP to recognise my 2nd monitor for Desktop Preview? It sees my main display without a problem. The other monitor is enabled in the system prefs. Pri monitor - Dell 2405 (1920x1200) 2nd oriented on left of 24 - Dell 19 (1280x1024). Do I need to decrease the rez of the 2nd display to work?
 
You should be able to go to External AV and select Desktop Preview, Full Screen, RAW, etc...I can't remember what menu it's under, but it's there.
