I've got final cut pro, and when I try to capture DV footage from my HVX, I get a "general error". This has only started this last week. I see the footage on the screen, but when I click NOW, it get the error message.
I got the same message capturing yesterday - I fixed the problem by changing the location of where I was saving my captured footage to. I have a G5 with 2 internal hard drives - I changed to the other - and no problem! What's confusing is that I have over 80 gigs of free space on both hard drives - so why would fcp capture on one more effectively than the other (both are the same speed)!?
