Genus or Tilta Follow Focus

I am in the market for a follow focus in the $400-$700 range for my Canon C100.

I've been looking at the Genus Bravo Deluxe and the Tilta FT-T03, but I'm certainly open to other options.

Both are around the same price
Both have hard stops
Both have reversible gears
Both come with lens gears (I think)

I'm kind of leaning towards the Genus because I think it seems a little nicer.

Anyone have any experience with either?

the tilta is by far my favorite under $750 follow focus. VERY solid.
as i understand, it uses a worm-gear. which pretty much eliminates backlash issues.

and ikan now distributes them in the states. so they should be a lot easier to get your hands on

I saw the Tilta a couple days ago at a camera shop in Shanghai. VERY solid build. They also had a tilta knockoff (which for some reason I found funny) for about 1/2 the price.

They were asking $500 for a complete kit (ff, whip, rails, base plate, case....) - before negotiating. Probably could get it for about 20% less. They also had complete rigs. I was shocked with how solid the gear was (like zero play on the ff gears).

The BMC cage and rig they had was downright beautiful. IMO, comparable to any US top end gear.

Yep Tilta is really good for the price. Glad to see more people realising this. Also... I'm loving the click-on / tighten way their parts work. If you have a complete rig build up, but you want to add a monitor arm or remove / attach the follow focus, you just unscrew it and lift it off.

I once saw Naso's video on the shoulder rig where he mentioned that he probably could have used the follow focus as a handle. He's not kidding. It sits that tight :)
