Gene Simmons Family Jewels

Okay, obviously reality TV is fake as can be. We're all filmmakers here, so no one should be blind to this fact. But is it just me, or does Gene Simmons Family Jewels take it one step furthur? It's almost as if they don't care if people think it's fake, they just put together skits and hope people are gullible, or watch it because it's so fake.

I mean when you lose your cellphone in a cab, and we have a nice shot from inside the cab as it's driving away from you... come on...

I was watching a recent one where he's writing a book on prostitution, and, well, obviously when he goes to a "ranch" he gets some old lady stenographer who's completely uncomfortable with being there. Then of course he tries to get info from prostitutes on the street and what happens? He gets arrested. Now the police man tells the cameraman to move to the side, but nothing more. In fact, the police are so okay with it that they let them film Gene Simmons getting processed, and waiting in jail. Maybe it's because I'm often someone holding a camera, but isn't it obvious that a cop would force you to shut it off?

It just frustrates me so much. Makes it feel like the gullible people in our society eat this stuff up. I mean they don't even try.
