Any thoughts about these. What is the overall quality of Genaray products? How is their customer service?

Check out this BH kit:

Edit: Note that I have recently purchased some smallish led daylight panels and would like to supplement with something that has a bit more throw. I would prefer some big led fresnels but that is presently out of my financial network.

Never heard of the brand. You generally get what you pay for, these look cheap. If you want cheap and 50 watts, these look better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwzovAABz7s The Generays look like photo strobes that have been gutted and an LED element inserted. Pretty large looking for 50 watts too. The CAME-TV lights look a lot smaller.

This may not put out any more light than an average-ish 1x1 range led panel since it only draws 50W. Expect it to perform like a 250W openface tungsten light.

I've been looking through a lot of LED specs and I found that >90 CRI usually means an r9 of >50, giving you not so good reds. >95 CRI usually has R9 of 80-90ish, so that would be where I would aim for when buying new LED lights.

Also 50W power draw means that they are maybe equivalent to 300w tungsten, not 750. Not a biggie, but I hate overstated light stats. (it provides 8000 lux of light but with no stated distance, that is a bogus stat. Im pretty sure it doesnt provide 8000 lux at 20 feet). Lumens are a better measure simply because they are independent of variables like beam angle and distance.

That price seems nice though.
