gel vendors

I would recommend four LEE starter packs, the CTO, CTB, Diffusion and then get a party gel pack. These are all 12"x12" sheets which are perfect for small lights. Should run you abour $300.00 total but you will really have everything you need for almost any situation and with care, you should get at least a year or two before you need to replenish as long as you don't burn them all up.

Best,

Dan

Speaking of gels I just made my own light set up that i actual
like a lot. Its low heat because Im using florescence lights. Do you know

They make colored sleeves for fluorescent lights in various colors. Not sure about cost - it might be just as expensive as gel.

I'm not sure exactly...I've never looked into it. Check a local lighting and electric shop. The key thing to note though is that they won't be precise measurements as gel - you're not going to get CTB or CTO in increments...it's more a designer / splash of colour kind of thing.

Hey Ken and anybody else who bought a flo light from me... I have gel in .5, 1, 2, 3 stop ND... and I also have 3/4 CTO... and also FROST... all in 7.5" x 23" pre-cut sizes... you can buy as much as you like from me at $2 per piece... do the math... that is actual cost on pieces that you CAN'T get from a full sheet of gel. I bought custom rolls to accomodate buyers of my lights... and once again this is at ZERO profit margin! So if you need any of those gels for the light(s) you bought from me just remember that option is always on the table... same goes for everybody else who bought some.

I'm not making any more lights AT THIS MOMENT because I'm in R&D on some lighting stuff... but again, do the math... you can't get gels this size anyplace else unless you buy a full roll at 7.5" wide... and you can't cut a 7.5" x 23" out of a 21 x 22 gel... you can't even cut (3) 7.5" x 22 because a full sheet is too narrow... and that's why I bought this stuff... to make it easier on anybody who bought a light... a full sheet gel is normally $6... so 1/3 of it is $2... and I'll selling larger pieces in sizes you can't get any other way for the same price... ZERO profit... if you want any PM me. All I have is the gels I listed above though...
