I own a Canon XHA1 and just purchased an SGpro Rev2. Now, I am quite certain I need a step ring for this to work, right?

...and here I was just debating about whether or not to start a thread about my frequency turning down sex from hot girls... same title.

Step ring? Er... I think so... sorry I was distracted.

Well for some reason, I thought the XHA1 had a 72mm thread and therefore, figured the Sgpro would work from the getgo.

hey, thanks for the warning! Most idiots don't announce themselves, and you can't be quite sure until it's too late!

:)

I'm not sure what revision this is, but these are the specs for the SGBlade-
SGblade base (no mount or connection kit): 104x82x47mm
SGblade with Nikon mount & non flip tube: 104x82x142mm
SGblade with Nikon mount & FLIPmodule: 123x108x142mm

And the A1 takes a 72mm filter. So yes, an adapter does look like it is in order. But, on the bright side, you could have done worse :)

Well wait, the Rev2 isn't 72mm then? God damnit. There isn't even a shop in town to buy any rings, just filters. What step do I need then? Is there magic filters that will thread on my camera and then I can somehow rig the adapter the end of the filter? ****.

Okay, what the hell is going on here. On the Canon site, it says the thread is 72mm and on Shoot35's site, it says the SGpro works with all 72mm video cameras. Why is it that the adapter is substantially smaller and will not thread into my XHA1?
