Gearing up for doc

We are getting ready for a documentary this summer, we have quite a bit of experience with our show and the standard talking head interview, but with this upcoming doc we're hoping to beef up the production a bit. Acquiring B roll will be a huge factor. I'm trying to figure out the best use of resources & if we should purchase any additional equipment.

We have;
2 Sony EX1
1 Panasonic GH2 14-42/20mm 1.7/Canon FD 50 1.4
Kessler Dolly
Kessler Slider
lights/good mics etc.

What I'm wondering is about the B Roll, I'm sure the slider will come in handy, I was also considering adding some kind of steadicam to the mix - but it sounds like a lot to learn & not sure if it would be worth it for B Roll?

Also maybe a gopro for shots I'm not thinking about like driving & ? ? ?

Thoughts?

You didn't indicate what kind of doc you would shoot. If, say, you will shoot under or above water or need the POV of a fasting moving object (car, plane, etc), a GoPro can help a lot. But for a serious formal interview, I doubt a GoPro would help much due to its somewhat hilarious distortion. If you do get a GoPro, be sure to get enough mounting kits.
