Gathering information on new editing studio

Hey guys. What's up? I'm a videographer currently in the process of designing a new editing studio. I am still somewhat new to the game and while I have some of my own ideas of how it should be, I wanted to ask the advice of some guys who have been at it awhile. I'm looking for tips and suggestions on all aspects (color, size, lighting, anything you have an opinion on really) of the new design. So far, my editing equipment consists of a CPU with external backup drive, dual 24" monitors, printer and photo printer. I need this office to be an inviting space that I don't dread spending hours in and just be a smart layout. I'm currently a one man band, but would like to start working on projects with small groups of individuals.

I want to make sure that if I'm spending money on the office I'm considering everything I should. I am able to find a lot of office design resources but nothing that is really video editing specific. So whether you have a photo, link or just advice, I'd love to see what you've got. If you need any additional information just let me know.

I'm also going to add an in home shooting studio so I have a controlled space for certain video and photo shoots. The space is 15' wide by 15'-20' deep with a ceiling about 8' tall. This will also double as a client viewing area and theater. Suggestions for this are also welcome.

Thanks in advance.

If you are going to have small groups in there for screening/editing.......make sure you have a decent sized TV/monitor above or near and fed from your workstation.

5 people crowded around your monitors gets a little "close". Same with a decent pair of audio monitors dedicated to playback for an audience in the room.
