Gas Masks Again

[Amerikan123]

Does anyone know what type of gas masks they used in silent hill? that would be absolutely perfect for a movie that im working on. I know it sounds like a goofy question but they look so perfect.

[J.R. Hudson]

Not sure but have seen references to Coal Mining Gear

Check out this killer link:

Yeah, you could end up with something like this:

Killer flick!

[J.R. Hudson]

That is a great flick ! 80's horror films rule.

Warning: Thread Hijack in progress.

Hudson- An interesting tidbit about that movie...
When they were shooting in the mine (it's a real mine) they could only use special lights approved for use in mines (to avoid explosions from the methane gas). Those lights were only 50 watts. I still don't know how they pulled it off.

End Hijack.

Thread jacks rule (otherwise we'd be talking about gas masks all day)

Really ? Not sure if I wanna go into a mine these days. Remember when Jamie Lee was the Scream Queen ?

Man, I love "My Bloody Valentine" Remember "Happy Birthday to me", "Maniac", "Tourist Trap" "He knows you're alone".....etc?
Yes, bring back real 80's horror instead of this high concept stuff we see so much of nowadays!

[J.R. Hudson]

Totally agree. I want tangible horror. Not this TECHNO BULLSHITE horror

[Lake Films]

I have been 'racking' my brain trying to come up with a workable 80's style horror script. Pages done=0! I feel it could work. Shadows, music, suspense, it worked and still does...

My girlfriend and I are doing the same thing right now. Pages done=60. Stay tuned.

Cool! Are you going to produce it?

Thanks alot for jacking my thread and making it into something interesting. Thanks to you too Hudson you really helped me out but i decided to go with the white one at this link since the character is a rather clean scientist looking guy.

That looks really cool, man.

[Lake Films]

"My bloody valentine 2"?

[HorseFilms]

I'm actually surprised that it hasn't been remade yet. It would be a mistake, but I'm still surprised.

[Blaine]

This is the gas mask we used in Hollywood Gothic.

We modified the original by knocking off the hose and canaster coming off the "mouth"

[HorseFilms]

I really thought that was cool, Blaine.

p.s. You're getting dangerously close to 3000 posts.

Thanks. I'm being as judicious as possible with my posts as I work on the video, wink, wink, nod, nod.
